“Be nice to each other” An event, of this size is impossible to carry out without the efforts of all the members involved. The administration plays an important part in making the event a success. To gain insight on the role of administration in this year’s fest, Priyanka Gupta inter viewed Mr. Rajeev Kale, Registrar of the University.
Ques. How different do you think this year’s Anugoonj will be?
Ans.Every year brings in new expectations, challenges and achievements with it. This time also, Anugoonj is extravagant and colourful. Hopefully it will be enjoy- able, giving immense exposure to the students.
Ques. What is the biggest hurdle that you, being the registrar, face in organising an event of this magnitude?
Ans. Being interviewed by students like you (laughs)! I don’t face any difficulty as such because I have a wonderful team of hardworking and talented staff members as well as students. I just hope the entire event goes well and peacefully.
Ques. What, according to you, are the benefits of such kind of fests?
Ans. Such kind of cultural fests have many benefits. They groom the students in various ways. Such events provide great exposure and bring in opportunities for the students. Through such events university gets to showcase it- self. Anugoonj is a meeting point for all the students from various institutes across the University.
Ques. What all security measures are being taken to make Anugoonj nuisance free?
Ans. Security is a critical issue during such big events. We have our Students’ volunteering team of around 150 students to patrol each and every corner of the campus along with the police officials deployed during Anugoonj. We also have a provision for fire brigade service in case of fire or any other emergency situation.
Ques. What do you want to say to the students of GGSIPU?
Ans.All I want to say is, have a great time! I hope each one of you will maintain deco- rum and will be nice to each other, and help make Anugoonj a success.
